Day Coin Hunt with Nokta Makro Simplex Plus – 50s Target ID Was Trash!

Day Coin Hunt with Nokta Makro Simplex Plus

That 50s Target ID Turned Out to Be Trash... But We Kept Swinging! 🪙

Hey everyone, Zeke (aka Glenn) here! Took the Nokta Makro Simplex Plus and Garrett Pro-Pointer out for a relaxed daytime coin hunt. Everything was going smooth until a clean, repeatable signal in the **50s** lit up the screen.

For a second I got excited — old coin? Clad? Something good? Dug the plug carefully, ran the pinpointer over it… and pulled out trash. Classic folded aluminum or bottle cap edge. We’ve all been there!

No worries — keep swinging. Metal detecting isn’t just about the keepers. It’s about the fresh air, learning your machine, and enjoying the hunt even when the target is junk.

The Simplex Plus continues to impress with its balance, depth, and easy-to-use features. The Garrett Pro-Pointer makes recovery quick and clean. Just another honest day in the field reminding us that persistence is key.

Have you ever had a mid-50s ID fool you? Drop your stories below — I love reading them and chatting with the community!
