We’ve all been there. You get a solid signal, dig a nice plug, and then… nothing. The target is just gone — blended into the dirt, the mulch, the roots, whatever Mother Nature decided to hide it under.

In this hunt I ran into the classic case: I knew the target was probably trash, but I still wanted to recover it so I could clear the signal and keep hunting clean ground. Without a pinpointer I would have been poking around forever.

Pinpointer = finding the “trash” that blends into the mulch in seconds instead of minutes.

The pinpointer let me zero in fast, even when the target was the same color and texture as the surrounding mulch. One quick sweep and there it was.
