Break‑Even Quest: Cold Weather Coin Hunt After the Winter Storm | Zeke (aka Glenn)

The break‑even quest continues. After the big winter storm finally moved out, I grabbed the detector and headed out for a cold‑weather coin hunt. It was still chilly, but the sun was shining, the wind had calmed down, and it felt good just to be back outside listening for signals again.

I worked around a playground—one of those spots where dropped change likes to hide in the chips. The targets weren’t constant, but they were steady enough to keep things interesting. By the time I wrapped up, I had three pennies, a dime, and two quarters in the pouch.

That’s 63 more cents closer to my goal of paying off the detector with clad. Small wins, honest hunts, and the long game of metal detecting—this is what the break‑even quest is all about.

Here’s the quick highlight from the hunt.
