41 Coins This Morning!

Had to wait a day to try the Garrett Propointer on a coin shoot; worked well making locating a coin much quicker after the initial signal from the metal detector.

Worked even better when I found a coin spill!  Had one signal after another in a small area.  Did not have to move from the initial spot to find the coins!

Garrett Pro-Pointer Arrived!

The Garrett Pro-Pointer arrived this afternoon.  Really excited to try it out.  But, have other commitments today, so had to make do with a quick search in the front yard for now.  After getting a strong signal was able to pinpoint a dime quickly!  Really liking this new accessory!

Another Round of Quick Trips

Headed to a sand volleyball court to test out a sand scoop made from PVC.  Was a bust though; court was really clean!  Searched the playground next to the court and found a few pennies.

Then, went on to another playground.  Found more clad coins (and trash). While heading home, stopped at one more playground and found a quarter buried in the old mulch.

Did find a charm.  No markings but it does not look like it's made of silver.

Online Search Helped This Round... Clad Coins and More!

Did a search online and found some new places to try coin shooting.  Decided to checkout two that were close by.  First playground looked promising but only turned up a bolt.

Went down the road to the next place - a school yard with wooden swing sets and jungle gyms.  Been a while since detecting one of these areas... sure do miss them!

Found a number of clad coins, a medallion, and a ring (non-silver).  Fun stuff... glad the online search worked!

Google "Earthing"...

Decided to do some searching online for some hidden areas to coin shoot.  Found several public parks that look promising.  Also, the online search helped recall a couple of schoolyards that wer forgotten... May need to sneak out for a quick trip.  One is close by!

No Rings or Charms this Round; Several Clad Coins Though!

Another try at coin shooting last night.  Tried two playgrounds.  Was a tough go with a penny and dime at the first playground, and then three pennies at the second playground.  Brought a flashlight this time so it helped with finding coins after dark.  But, can hardly wait for the Garrett Pro-Pointer to arrive... should make pinpointing coins much easier, especially at night!

Garrett Pro-Pointer On Order!

While out this past weekend, met another Detectorist.  Said howdy and talked briefly about Metal Detecting. One thing in particular was the pinpointer he was using.  He had a Garrett Pro-Pointer on a holster.  Sure could have used one last night when I was searching a playground in the dark!  Decided to get one and placed an order for one.  Should deliver next week; cannot wait to try it out!
