Metal Detecting Tot Lots | A Penny But a Fun Demo Searching for It!

Bringing back memories of when my son used to metal detect with me... but this time, he was playing camera man with the old GoPro mounted on a Zhiyun Smooth 4 Gimbal... normally for a smartphone but it came with a mount for the GoPro 5 and up. 

Turns out it works on an old GoPro Hero! Only found a penny but it was good to see that gimbal works on the the older generation GoPros!

Check out the demo on how I like to search a tot lot from a different POV camera angle than I normally use... liking it!

Metal Detecting Tot Lots | Quick Trip Before It Snows!

 Snow in the forecast, but was able to hunt a couple of city park playgrounds before it snowed.  Found a few clad coins and a pendant looking thing. Not sure if it is real, but it was still a good one to find from a "feel good" standpoint!

Has a small coin spill of two dimes and a penny that was cool; good thing I "sweep" the area clear before moving on to the next one!

Metal Detecting Tot Lots | 87 Clad Coins This Round!

Happy New Year... 2021 starts out strong for me! Was headed up the road to go fishing - my other passion. Decided to bring the Fisher 1225X and stop at a tot lot or two along the way.

After several non-starts, found a school playground that looked promising.  It was - found lots of clad coins.  Afterwards, stopped at one more and found more coins.

Happy New Year! Been slight delays in 2020 in finding a coin or two with the old 1225X Fisher Metal Detector. Covid put a damper on the local tot lots I like to hunt.
