Metal detecting on a chilly fall morning. Found lots if trash but did manage some clad coins, a BVB09 Pendant, and a Disney Pendant! Fun stuff!

Checked out a schoolyard playground Sunday evening. Was a tough go at one playset... struck out save for a pencil! Luckily there was another playset in the same schoolyard. Found clad coins and a plated ring... was worn down but still a good find. Always like finding rings!

Cold front arrived and dropped temps but has started to warm again. Perfect time for an evening coin shoot at a local playground. This round it's clad coins and costume jewelry - a shark tooth pendant and a bracelet!

Metal Detecting with the New Headphones #metaldetecting

New headphones came in! Ordered from Cabelas using a gift card. The old Radio Shack headphones were nice but went down after many years of faithful service.

Been using earbuds since then. But, now have these... made by Teknetics. It has dual volume controls, mono and stereo selection, and goes over the ears making for some awesome noise reduction.

Great for hearing those faint signals for those deeper treasures buried below!

Fisher 1225x Keeps Producing!

Stopped by a park that I had not searched in years. Clad coins were found. But, forgot my earbuds. Had to search without them... much tougher to hear those faint beeps. Do have a set of over the ear headphones on the way. Replaces the old Radio Shack ones that I had for many years.

More clad coins this round. Was a slow go by the swings but did find a few coins by the play set. Even found a 3 coin spill at the base of a slide! Fun stuff with the old metal detector!

More Metal Detecting at a Playground #coinshooting

Able to get a round of metal detecting in before heading out to Oktoberfest McKinney. Found lots of trash but also coins... even found a mood ring and a horse charm.

Also, while searching the playsets, was able to demo how we approach the metal poles to  detect coins... the metal playsets tend to give false signals making it hard to find treasures!
