Break in the weather and work made for an opportunity to coinshoot this afternoon. Headed to a playground that I had not detected in awhile. However, it was crowded; blame it on the good weather. Went to several others and same held true. Finally, found one that had minimal activity. Unfortunately, so were the coins. Found two clad coins. Regardless, fun time was still had!

Quick Coinshooting Outing After The Snow Melt

Snow and cold temps put a slight delay in my metal detecting plans. Luckily, was able to coinshoot a local schoolyard this afternoon. The snow is melting and the ground is not frozen. Found some clad coins, a dog license, costume jewelry heart pendant, and a silver earring!

Coinshooting a Local Neighborhood Park!

Decided to start a weblog to document metal detecting finds from my Fisher 1225X Metal Detector. I bought the metal detector over 20 years ago from KellyCo, and it still works like it did back then!

Over the years, I managed to pay it off in JUST 10 years of recreational "on again, off again" metal detecting, not bad given the time I put into the hobby.

I had a lot of fun coinshooting beaches and parks but now a days I have been focusing on areas that offer ease of digging to ensure no damage to landscape.
