Sunday Coin Shoot

Went for a Sunday coin shoot this afternoon.  Nice temps and no rain; decided to work a school playground, focusing on the grassy areas.  Managed a few clad coins and a token!

Coin Shooting a Neighborhood Park

Did a quick trip this afternoon and had fun coin shooting a neighborhood park.  Never been to it before; found it using Google Earth!  Found clad coins and lots of trash, going to let this one "rest" for a little bit before searching again.

Working the Grassy Areas for More Coins

Decided to take advantage of the moist soil and keep working the grassy areas for more clad coins.  Went to a school playground and managed a few clad coins, a button, and a charm or something that goes with clothing!

Coin Shooting After the Rain...

Went out this morning for some coin shooting after the rain we received yesterday and last night.  Welcomed the rain; also, welcomed the chance to try some grassy areas that were hard packed all summer.  Found a penny at a city park and lots of trash.  Went to a school playground and worked the jungle gym and the baseball field.  Found clad coins, two non-silver charms, and lots of trash to include a shotgun shell hulls. Shotgun shells made sense given the playground was once a farm.  Also, found someone's retainer case with a mouth guard in it.  No address listed on it; going to hold on to it for now.

Coin Shoot Before the Rain Arrived!

Strapped for time and the chance of rain forecasted.  Decided to hit the local school yard. Found a few coins.  Then, went to a baseball field and found a few more.  Also, found a charm and a bullet.  Cool stuff!

Struck Out at One Park; Did Well at Another!

Stopped at a city park to do some coin shooting; found it on Google Earth.  Looked promising but struck out!  Then, decided to check out Google Maps on the phone and found another park.  Did well finding coins!

Sunday Morning Coin Shoot Gets More Coins and Charms

Sunday morning went out again for more coin shooting.  This round was able to get more clad coins and more non-silver charms.  Working one schoolyard that was recently mulched, noticed most coins were found in the older layer of mulch!

50 Coins This Round!

Checked out a city park after work today.  Never hunted it before; found a number of clad coins.  Started to sprinkle a little (glad for the rain!).  So, was calling it a day and packed up to head home.  On the way, rain stopped so... stopped at a school yard.  Had been there before but had to call it quits after dark.  Was able to find more clad coins!  Fun stuff!

Minor Coin Spill

Did a quick trip to a city park.  Decided to search around the shady area around the trees.  Found a couple of coins, then lucked into a minor coin spill... total coins this round 14!

Working the School Yard

Decided to coin shoot a local school yard.  Was a tough go with lots of trash but did manage to get a few clad coins and an earring.  Went to another school yard and found a few more clad coins and what looked like a ring.  No markings but has some cool designs on it.

Evening Coin Shoot to Close Out the Weekend

Evening coin shoot to close out the weekend.  Checked out a city park that looked promising.  Found a few clad coins and a boy scout item... the thing that holds the scarf in place.  Fun stuff!

Pinpointer Worked Well

Went back out for another coin shoot.  Decided to try a school yard and work the grassy area around the basketball courts.  Did well finding clad coins, a foreign coin, and several non-silver charms.  Pinpointer worked well in keeping the grass plugs to a minimum size!

18 Coins and Other Things!

Did several quick trips to a sand volleyball court, playgrounds, and parks.  Only found a nickel at the volleyball court.  Luckily, was able to find more coins, three charms (non-silver), and a token at the playgrounds and parks.  Was getting a lot of hits but most were trash.  Still a good time finding "treasure"!

Lunch Time Quick Trip

Took a lunch break and did a fast coin shoot... Found trash and twoclad coins - a Quarter and a Penny.  Fun stuff!

Late Start Today

Late start today but did make it out.  Decided to coin shoot another school yard.  Have not searched it in a while.  Found a few clad coins, the backing for an earring, and a non-silver charm.  Pro-Pointer did well in locating finds, especially liked the LED light when searching in the dark!
