Pre-Turkey Day Coinshoot....

Did a pre-Turkey Day coinshoot before a cold front arrives.  Started slow with only a penny found, adjusted the Discrimination and searched the area again.  Found a few more clad coins, a token, and a charm!

Warm Weather For November Calls For A Quick Coinshoot!

Been enjoying the warm days, at least for now.  Front is supposed to arrive later this week that will bring temps back down again.  Decided to coinshoot a local schoolyard that I have not been to for awhile.  Found a few clad coins, a key, and a pendant!

San Francisco Chief - Santa Fe Railroad Medallion

Here is a find from several years back when I lived in California.  Found this one on the beach.  It is a medallion that marked the inaugural trip (June 6, 1954) of the Santa Fe Railroad's San Francisco Chief passenger train. Here is a wiki link that provides more details on the Train.  Cool find.

Night Time Coinshoot Gets Clad Coins!

Decided to do a night time coinshoot after work today.  With the time change and shorter days, was well past dark when I began searching a local playground.  Was nice because no one was there; was no problem pinpointing finds.  Used a really bright LED Flashlight to locate a number of clad coins!

Clad Coins On A Nice Day!

Did some coinshooting and found a few clad coins. Was a really nice day with blue skies and cool temps. Could not let the day go by without doing a little metal detecting.
